Punjab Government Announces Housing Scheme for Low-Income Residents: Apni Chhat, Apna Ghar

In a bid to address the housing needs of low-income individuals, the Punjab government has unveiled plans to launch a housing scheme in six cities across the province.

The decision was made during a meeting chaired by Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, where it was proposed to construct approximately 100,000 houses for low-income families.

The Punjab Board of Revenue (PBR) has already identified 17 potential sites for the project, which will be carefully considered for implementation.

The cities selected for the housing scheme include Lahore, Multan, Faisalabad, Sialkot, Sargodha, and Rawalpindi, where the project will be executed to provide affordable housing options to residents.

During the meeting, Chief Minister Nawaz emphasized the importance of housing as a fundamental need for every family. She highlighted the significance of the "Apni Chhat, Apna Ghar" project in addressing the housing needs of the people.

The initiative aims to alleviate the housing burden on low-income individuals and families, ensuring that they have access to decent and affordable housing options.

With this housing scheme, the Punjab government is taking proactive steps to improve living conditions and enhance the quality of life for its residents, particularly those belonging to economically disadvantaged segments of society.
